08.09.20 Four ways to eat a pumpkin

What to do with all of these pumpkins? I am exploring some of the ways in the next four blog posts. The first thing to do is make pumpkin puree so that none of it goes to waste and you have this key ingredient for the your pumpkin recipes.

I cut the pumpkin in fours and then again in half. These were placed face down on parchment line baking sheets at cooked for 50 minutes at 400 degrees. After cooling off, I scooped out the middle and blended in a food processor for 4 minutes. Then, I stored the puree in canning jars.
