07.01.20 Plum Leaf Tea

Now that the plums are here I am spending a lot of time by the trees, admiring their form, impressed by their bounties and realizing that all of the focus has been on the fruit. But, the leaves are also edible as tea, extract, tinctures and so much more. Being that it was the 1st of July, we stayed late at the beach and arrived home looking for a little warmth that can always be found in a cup of tea. I steeped a handful of plum leaves in boiling water for 10 minutes and we enjoyed its earthy flavor.
