04.17.20 Radish

Hallelujah, these are the first radishes I have ever grown from seed. Just look at how sweet and they were ridiculously simple to grow. With many root vegetables you have to guess when they are ready. Radishes just pop themselves out of the ground as if to say “hey, here I am, ready for harvest.” So, as we do most days, my guy and I made our daily salad with mostly what we found in the yard.

Today’s salad had radish, kale, arugula (yep!), celery leaves, box choy, broccoli leaves, osaka mustard (from the yard) and radicchio, carrot, avocado, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, olives, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, cumin and salt (from the store).
