03.28.20 Lemon Verbena

It’s all about simple pleasures these days and afternoon tea is just that. The best teas are made from leaves harvested outside and steeped in water. A perennial, our Lemon Verbena sprouts anew each spring and dies back over the winter. Today I steeped a large handful of leaves in boiling water for 5 minutes and served with a squeeze of key lime. Lemon Verbena tea is subtle, refreshing and a good reminder that we don’t need that much to be complete.
