08.22.20 Lavender Guava Wine Spritzer

Forgive me if we have been here before but it’s about 100 degrees outside and I wanted something cold and refreshing. I also wanted to contrast color and flavor, so I grabbed some guavas and lavender. Using a mortal and pestle, I squished out as much juice and essence as I could using a bit of sparkling water. I strained it all into two glasses and topped it off with another splash of sparking water, an ice cube and sauvignon blanc. I shed a few degrees just drinking it.
