08.13.20 Pumpkin Hummus

There is this turmeric curry hummus by Majestic that I adore. I’ve tried to make it several times but I just can’t seem to get the right mix of turmeric, cumin, flax seed, garlic, lemon juice and olive oil. Adding in pumpkin didn’t get me any closer but it did send my hummus in an entirely new direction. The pumpkin puree gave it an easy consistency so that I didn’t have to add loads of olive oil as I usually end up doing. It also gave it a sweet finish that could be enhanced with other herb or spice choices.
