07.08.20 Plum Jam
Our delicious plums are beginning their retreat. At this late point in the season, every plum on the tree is spectacularly flavorful and sweet. But I had a large bowl of the fallen plums, the plums with a bite or two out of them, plums slightly pecked on by birds and plums not quite ripe that came loose anyway. I was not about to waste a single one, so jam it was. I pitted and chopped the plums, added 1/4 cup of lemon juice, 1/4 cup of water and 3 tsp of monk fruit.
