06.07.20 Last Artichokes
Our artichoke finally bit the dust today after providing so many delicious flower buds. I harvested the last eight of about 50 for our dinner feast. We have tried them all kinds of ways but our favorite method is quite simple. Rub 1/2 lemon or lime on the artichokes and submerge about 1/3 in water. Add two garlic cloves and boil for 50 minutes. Make a dipping sauce of 2 parts olive oil to 1 part lemon juice, salt and pepper.
