03.05.20 Little Trees

I am in awe of the structural beauty of this vegetable. This must be the work of garden fairies. All those tiny flowers bundled together to make a mini tree. In fact, my girls loved to eat broccoli when they were toddlers because we called them little trees. They took such delight in chomping on little trees in their little mouths. My sautés may not be all that varied or complicated but that is exactly the point. Today, I minced 6 cloves of garlic, just to ward off all the virus hysteria. I cooked it in avocado oil for 30 seconds, added the little trees, some salt, cooked it for about 4 minutes and finished it with a drizzle of olive oil.
