Art.hro.poda is a creature
who relies on a modular suit that morphs, detaches and reconfigures
itself in order to adapt to changing environments. Each public action or performance of Art.hro.poda is qualified by an adjective
that describes a characteristic of arthropods.
Since moving to El Paso in August, 2007, I have been inspired arthropods’
outstanding adaptability perfected over thousands of years which uses
a hard exoskeleton, segmentation, and jointed appendages. The physical
characteristics of arthropods could be seen as desirable for humans in
the face of increasing non-voluntary displacement, voluntary nomadism
and climate change. Art.hro.poda uses Shell-ter-wear,
